In partnership with Sejuta Tes solidarity movement, we aided Oxygen Concentrators for people in COVID-19 self-isolations!

Despite the declining trend in newly infected people, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 is still relatively high. In a condition like this, the oxygen demand for severe COVID-19 cases continues to be highly urgent.

To help in this issue, and with the assistance of our CSR team, our company aided the oxygen demands by distributing 17 units of 10-liter oxygen concentrators to people in need through the Sejuta Tes solidarity movement. Not only that, we also distributed hundreds of personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, gloves, shower caps and face shields to Sejuta Tes volunteers to carry out social activities to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our company selected Sejuta Tes for distributing this donated equipment as the movement is capable to manage the lending of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators for people living predominantly in Greater Jakarta and other areas such as Garut (West Java), Bandar Lampung (Lampung), Palembang (South Sumatra), Palu (Central Sulawesi) but also in other provinces. The oxygen concentrator is specifically intended for people who are undergoing self-isolation due to contracting COVID-19, and free of charge.

"The distribution of oxygen concentrator aid is Home Credit's commitment in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic which has a significant impact on the lives of Indonesian people. As we know, oxygen concentrators are an alternative for someone who were infected with COVID-19 and their lungs need to be supported with oxygen therapy. In the midst of the scarcity of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators, this aid is expected to be able to ease one of the community's problems in getting access to effective treatment," said Stephanus Wisnu Kumarajati (Head of Operations).

As appreciation for the aid, Alif Iman Nurlambang (Coordinator of Sejuta Tes movement) had this to say:

"We really appreciate the oxygen concentrator aid provided by Home Credit because it increases the number of equipment that is ready to be lent to meet the needs of the community. Every day, we receive up to hundreds of requests to borrow oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators from people whose family members or relatives have contracted COVID-19. On the other hand, the availability of various oxygen devices is still not able to meet the needs of the community at this time. Therefore, the assistance from Home Credit is very meaningful.”

One of the beneficiaries of the oxygen concentrator aid, Atiqah Thamrin, from Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province, admitted that oxygen concentrators are very useful for increasing oxygen saturation while people fight the virus in their body.

Moreover, borrowing oxygen concentrators is also very easy. The public can access the registration link at any time at the web address https://bit.ly/pinjamoksi.  Then the Sejuta Tes team will contact prospective recipients to arrange a lending and delivery schedule. Atiqah really appreciates the aid from our company through Sejuta Tes in increasing the availability of oxygen concentrators for patients who are diagnosed with COVID-19.

With this, we hope our aid have greatly helped people in self-isolation and in need of quicker, easier access to oxygen concentrators. Don’t forget, stay healthy and let’s fight COVID-19 together!
